This is a collection of leftovers, initially from the recording of "Once Upon a Time in the Midwest". I had a few songs leftover that didn't fit the theme, so I started writing and piecing together some older stuff for what I will unashamedly call a second tier album. A lot like "Neither Normal or Special" or "Happy Time", most of what's here are just ideas I wanted to get out in the world without thinking too much about arrangements or how perfect the songs were.

But it does have a loose theme, I suppose. We all know those people who never quite do the right thing, or do it completely, and seemingly float outside the realm of societal norms. They're not bad enough to be ostracized, but you'd never trust them with your life or your money. Those are the characters here singing in first person.
