A ride through the wilderness and the desert. Tumbleweeds and guitars and broken hearts. Redemption is just around the corner...maybe.

Going for a different type of sound here (and forced to by lack of access to any proper recording area for drums), I went with large amounts of percussion, sometimes five or six tracks worth just to get a groove. I like how it turned out, and the challenge of finding where to hit a guitar to get the optimum "kick" sound. My 8 year old son was also kind enough to let me borrow some percussion he'd gotten for Christmas. Also, I recorded my first (very limited) foray into harmonica. When I picked one up for the first time, I wondered why I hadn't before.

Recorded and mixed mostly after working all night. The final mixes were done after being up for 30 hours straight, on my wife's birthday. Some vocals and guitars are live, first and/or one take. The guitar on the cover was my grandfather's first guitar. He cut the f-holes in it, because the model without them was cheaper, but he wanted that sound and look.
